Why Does My Trane Weathertron Baystat 239 Have 8 Wires I'm Trying To Upgrade An Old 8-wire Mercury Thermostat To A Digital Programmable. How Do I Connect The Wires?

I'm trying to upgrade an old 8-wire mercury thermostat to a digital programmable. How do I connect the wires? - why does my trane weathertron baystat 239 have 8 wires

Instructions are only cable systems 2-5, not 8-wire. They are even compatible? Passing a 239 Trane Baystate Weathertron a Honeywell RTH230B. Thank you.

Read the instructions if you do not go to the website of the production
